Quadritek Name System

Quadritek Name System, QNS, was the first multi-domain name system to provide
a graphical user interface. QNS can be installed and in production in minutes
yet is powerful enough to meet the challenge of any organization's domain name system
requirement.
This product includes software based on BIND,
originally developed at U. C. Berkeley as
part of BSD, and currently
maintained by the Internet Software Consortium.
QNS system consists of two subsystems:
QNS Configuration
The QNS subsystem is concerned with the definition of the primary server, secondary
servers and network services. QNS Configuration provides the following:
- Primary
and secondary server setup in minutes
- Secure zone transfers
- Definition
of autonomous domains
- Definition of root servers
- US and international
domain definitions
QNS Administration
The QNS Administration subsystem has been designed to be used by non-technical
personnel and maintains the various DNS record types and pointers. QNS Administration provides

- Maintainance of the A, CNAME, MX, TXT, and HINFO records
- Easy and
straightforward GUI interface
- Immediate error correction and validation
- Excellent
reporting capability
- Immediate primary server updates
