Unidevice Design:

  • MIB composed of 4 object tables:
    • Device Objects Table,
    • Variable Objects Table,
    • Gauge Objects Table,
    • StateWord Objects Table.
  • Variable, Gauge and StateWord tables can be dynamically configured from Unicenter TNG
  • Configurable Write access to Variable objects
  • MIB loaded at init time
  • SNMP Traps are sent using the event-driven mode of Unidevice
  • Supported platforms:
    • Windows NT 4.0,
    • Virtual Machine to ease porting to POSIX-compliant OS.

Integration with Unicenter TNG:

  • TNG Unidevice is a subclass of the TNG Agent class
  • 3 subclasses are defined:
    • Device,
    • Gauge,
    • StateWord.
  • Granularity up to the Device class
  • Includes a dedicated Agent View graphical user interface
  • Unidevice is a "Unicentered" product
