EVAL 2006 Test Suite is a range of tools dedicated to functional testing for terminal and smart card manufacturers, smart card test laboratories, bank organizations, services providers and application software developers.

This test suite is most commonly used for compliance testing of terminal EMV debit/credit payment applications, but also enables your company to conduct compliance testing of terminal payment applications according to MasterCard 3DS-CAP, PayPass� and ETEC specifications.

The EVAL 2006 Test Suite is composed of 1 Cemul EVAL box, 3 PC software applications and 1 library, each with a specific test purpose:

- Cemul EVAL Box: Card simulator connected to a PC running EVAL Test Platform and to a probe emulating the smart card.- EVAL 2006 Platform: Windows application to run test scripts of an EVAL library.

- EVAL library for EMV 4.1.a: Scripts library according to EMVCo Level 2 test plan 4.1.a.

- XTRACT2006: Complimentary software of EVAL Test Platform, used to determine applicable test cases based on an Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS).

- REPORT BUILDER: Complimentary software of XTRACT, used to generate reports after each test session performed with EVAL Test Platform.

The test suite is built for any kind of terminal (POS, ATM, EPOS, or others) with a smart card interface or IFM. To ensure proper hardware compatibility, the tested terminal should be EMVCo Level 1 approved.

EMVCo officially recognizes the EVAL 2006 Platform for EMV Terminal Level 2 Type Approval testing. All EMVCo Level 2 defined test cases, as available from EMVCo, are implemented into the EVAL Library for EMV.

The EVAL 2006 Test Suite is delivered on a CD containing the PC test program, a detailed user manual and a hardware adapter equipped with a smart card emulator probe. The information contained in the Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS) is used to select those scripts that are applicable to the terminal application configuration and thus, optimizes the test period.
