Société Générale
Groupe Silicomp was entrusted by Société Générale with ensuring secure access to its internet messaging system by implementing a proactive filtering solution. The system processes all mails from the 35,000 users through an architecture with a high level of availability, which includes an activity recovery website in case a major crash occurs. The solution has a dozen appliances embedded that activate anti-virus, anti-spam and protection/prevention of new viruses.
SMABTP Group
SMABTP selected Groupe Silicomp to study, supply and deploy a solution aimed at boosting the corporate flows of the 40 major branches that have access to the centralised IT system. SMABTP centralises its business and IT applications on cost optimisation grounds. In order to retain the same level of access performance as with the previous configuration, Groupe Silicomp provided specific units that enabled to conceal the waiting time of the long distance network. Silicomp ensures implementation of the full "turnkey" solution.
Société Générale
Société Générale entrusted Groupe Silicomp with protecting its partners' external access to business applications processing critical financial flows. The architecture put in place ensures high level of availability through 8 firewalls in active/passive mode. Centralised solution management was also set up to guarantee continuous security follow-up, whatever the site may be.
Sagem Défense Sécurité
Sagem Défense Sécurité entrusted Groupe Silicomp with designing and conducting unit testing of a software module for the Airbus A380, written in C language. This project was carried out on a fixed price contract basis at our avionics service centre. Groupe Silicomp adhered to the DO178B standard level C and implemented the RTRTTM tool, project management and quality follow-up according to the methodology demanded by Sagem Défense Sécurité.
Castorama
We were selected by Castorama to rebuild their head office and data centre LAN infrastructures. The final objective was to provide a 10Gbits Ethernet high speed network. The solution is based on layer 2 and 3 switches, thereby guaranteeing optimum solution availability through on-the-spot upgrade, ultra-rapid switch to back up links and virtualisation mechanisms. We ensured smooth migration from the existing system as well as long-term support and maintenance.
Assistance in obtaining the ISO 9001 certification
Silicomp Management consulting division provides help to DCMAT in achieving the ISO 9001 certification of seven semi-industrial business sites. Since the beginning of the project, three sites were certified at first audit.
Improvement of product quality at Thalès Avionics
Silicomp Management consulting division works side-by-side with Thalès Avionics industrial management in improving the quality of its products. The project consists in improving performance at each stage of the process, in particular by increasing the sense of responsibility of everyone involved.
European project
Within the framework of the Minalogic competitiveness cluster, Groupe Silicomp takes part to the Open TLM project in the "workshops of the future" section. The objective of this recently certified project is to increase productivity gains and improve quality in the production of complex embedded systems (smart card or SoC systems) with the creation of an integrated asynchronous modelling/validation environment. Working in partnership with research laboratories (Vérimag, Leti, INRIA ...) or manufacturers (ST Micro, Thomson ...), Groupe Silicomp is more specifically entrusted with developing a debugging environment, the transfer of open source operating systems to simulated platforms and the integration of all the tools in a single environment.
Extension of the ISO 17025 accreditation of the FIME Europe European laboratory
The ISO 17025 accreditation of the European laboratory of contact and contactless smart card testing, FIME Europe, has recently been extended to its contactless and interoperability operations. In fact, FIME had been accredited for years for its EMV level 1 and 2 contact activities. The accreditation extension enables the laboratory to put forward its quality of service and enhance its credibility with customers.
Contactless smart card testing by FIME
FIME Asia received accreditation from MasterCard Worldwide® for its PayPassTM contactless smart card operations.
PayPassTM is a new technology developed by MasterCard Worldwide® to facilitate payment. It is rapidly growing in the US and Asia.
ISO 9001-2000 certification
Silicomp Canada was ISO 9001 (Version 2000) certified in August 2006 by Intertek, a globally recognised company established in Canada, USA, Germany and Sweden. Several projects of the Software Safety type require ISO 9001 certification. Finally, the certification also enables us to bid on Canadian government invitations to tender.
University of Angers
University of Angers trust us for all their network issues. We ensure the setting up of a TOIP solution in order to validate the feasibility of extending the solution to all users. We supply and install a VPN-SSL solution enabling personnel to access the University's internal network in a secure manner. Finally, we provide LAN infrastructure extension in order to meet additional connection requirements.
BNF
The Bibliothèque Nationale de France (BNF) entrusted Groupe Silicomp with a wide-ranging mission in the area of system security :
CNES
The Pléiades HR satellite system enables the acquisition of high resolution optical images (70cm with a high localisation precision). Within the framework of this programme, the French National Centre of Space Studies (CNES) wished to have a security expertise conducted on a number of components of the ground segment by a trusted organisation (of the type of the Information Technology Security Assessment Centre - CESTI). The Silicomp-AQL CESTI was selected by the manufacturers which consulted them to provide their expertise.
La Poste (French Post Office)
Groupe Silicomp, through its subsidiary Silicomp-AQL, was selected by La Poste to carry out the upgrade of an existing solution (Celtic) to an "Org@" e-NET solution. The project is meant for 6,000 users and comes within the framework of post office reorganisation:
The architecture is based on J2EE development, adherence to the MVC2 with Struts design pattern and integration of the object-relation mapping framework (Hibernate).
DGCP
Office 3A of the DGCP (French Governmental Accounting Department) entrusted Silicomp-AQL with looking after the department's IT system security project management for 3 years. Within this framework, we conduct audit, expertise and consulting assignments. The first project concerns the security of all DGCP's IT departments distributed all over the French territory.
Our procedure is divided in two stages:
The objective is to take into consideration the system currently functional, as well as security objectives and constraints
Based on stage 1 elements, we suggest strategic upgrades, which enable us to identify concrete security solutions. Upon completion of this stage, DGCP selects the solution which is the most in keeping with its expectations.
SYTRAL
As part of a partnership led by ETDE, SYTRAL selected Groupe Silicomp to provide the whole interface IT system for migration to the new Lyon public transportation radio system. The system developed by Silicomp will be used by all Lyon transport networks (underground, bus, tramway) as well as security personnel. It is based on a generic interface platform that guarantees future upgrades and sustainability.
