APPLI-BUS - For Your Success

Complies with CORBA 2 Specification APPLI-BUS is a set of services, which comply with the OMG CORBA 2 specification, encouraging seamless development of industrial applications, interoperable in any heterogeneous distributed application environment.
  Rapid Development
Phase
APPLI-BUS gets to the point: the development of your applications. One command allows the user to gain immediate access to local variables on different equipement (PLCs, Robots ...), without knowing their physical location, nor their access mechanisms. The different programmable interfaces (C++, C and IDL) give access to APPLI-BUS' services.
Performance APPLI-BUS has been designed with performance in mind, using the most advanced technology:
  • Event programming
  • Threading
  • Asynchronous scheduling
Easy Access The Access Server manages object access, transparently wherever they are located:
  • Industrial equipement:
    • PLCs,
    • Numerical Controllers, Robots,
    • Files, Data Bases Management Systems,
    • Processes running on computers.

  • ... and the independant access methods:
    • Communication protocols,
    • Network utilities.
Portability APPLI-BUS runs on Unix platforms (Solaris 2.4/2.5) and Windows NT4.0. Thanks to its virtual machine layer it is portable to every thread based platform.
Openness Through the PPI (Protocol Plug Interface) and the SPI (Service Plug Interface), the addition of new access modules (Access Drivers) and processing modules (Processing Services) is very easy.
Interoperability The applications developed with APPLI-BUS are interoperable. The industrial data can be used by other softwares such as: MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), MRPII (Management Resource Planning) or data base management systems.
  User Orientation

APPLI-BUS was specified by manufacturers and made a reality by industrial computer specialists.
